Ecole e.V. Goals
The registered society Ecole e.V.'s goal is to support the promotion of the education in the Magdeburg region and the unity of the people in this area.  A unique emphasis is also placed upon educating and developing the future's cosmopolitans.  With this in mind, the Ecole e.V. elected languages to be the central foundation of their educational structure.  This language implementation takes place already in the first grade with the hopes of the children achieving bilingual abilities (German/French).  Further languages incorporated into the educational foundation are English, Chinese, and Spanish. 

International Primary School
The first step towards procuring these goals took place in 2000 as the primary school was founded.  The school has grown and now consists of three classes per grade level.

International High School
In 2004/2005 the first lessons were held in the newly founded high school, which currently has an enrollment of over 180 students.  The high school is based upon the same concept as the primary school and will eventually have an enrollment of approximately 550 students.  The school has a Mathematics/Business profile and also places emphasis on the languages.

Cosmopolitan Education
In connection to the high school, the development of a boarding school is foreseen as well as cooperation with a bilingual kindergarden and bilingual after-school care.   As time goes on a “one stop” education system should emerge in the Magdeburg area where our youth can be trained and educated to serve as global citizens. 

How can I become a Ecole e.V. member?
Requests for an application form can be placed here.  As soon as your application form is received you will be informed concerning the Union’s constitution. 

Why should I become a Ecole e.V. member?
New members to the Ecole e.V. Society are welcome at any time.  Membership is highly recommended for parents who currently send their children to Ecole, for parents of prospective students, as well as supporters of bilingual and international education.  As a Ecole e.V. member you receive:

• the possibility to have a say in important decisions made by the Society and also to participate in the annual meeting.
• invitations to events held by the Ecole e.V. and its schools

The annual membership fees give the Ecole e.V. the opportunity to support extracurricular and cultural activities conducted at the International Primary School Pierre Trudeau and the International High School Pierre Trudeau.  These activities are ones that also promote the students to become global citizens. 
Is it required for me to become a Union member in order to successfully register my child at the school?
This is not a prerequisite, but is highly recommended.  This allows members the chance to better familiarize themselves with the goals of the schools and help support important decisions that may be made that will later affect their own children.  They can also serve as a role model for their children and positively influence their children before the first day of school arrives. 

What are the duties of the Ecole e.V.’s Executive Board?
According to the Ecole e.V. Constitution, the Executive Board is responsible for conducting the current transactions of the Society, as well as hiring an administrator.  They are also obliged to organize the annual meeting for the members and carrying out the necessary decision making responsibilities.  The members of the Executive Board are elected biannually and remain in office until new members are elected.  The last election was held in July of 2007 as well as in June of 2008.  The Board meets on a regular basis to discuss imperative issues at the schools. 

The Mission Statement was created to continually direct the people who are involved in the life of the school.  It works like a compass in that it can be implemented at any time and lead one in the right direction.  When essential decisions need to be made then all participants involved in the matter should always be informed and consulted.

Basic Orientation
The school authority Ecole e.V. feels obliged to promote the values of tolerance and respect towards individuals from other cultures and unity of people in a common way.  We live in a pluralistic society that allows human dignity and freedom and this is an essential foundation upon which the Union is based and which it supports.

Quality Goals
The school authority Ecole e.V. attains to accommodate excellence in all of its achievements.  The profile of the school is designed so that these accommodations can be built upon one another and develops a concrete conclusion, which incorporates and includes both schools.

External Organization
The school authority Ecole e.V. cultivates a well-rounded knowledge in business and sciences in hopes that the students can successfully unearth their appropriate place in society.

Internal Organization
The school authority Ecole e.V. aims to guide their students along a constructive and decisive line of education in that they continuously follow and develop the school’s concept as the students’ knowledge expands.

Learning Goals
The school authority caters to the students culturing the ability to apply multiple universal languages in their current sociocultural context.  These abilities will especially be applied to mathematical-economical domains.

Function Goals
The school authority ensures that their graduates are well-prepared for the expectations that await them in the globalised and achievement-oriented society in which we live today.  They shall be prepared to take on responsibilities and to play an influential role in the world in which they live. 

Conflict Management
The school authority Ecole e.V. encourages the development of tolerant, respectful and courageous personalities among their student.  The concept of finding a peaceful resolution to conflicts of all dimensions will always be put into perspective and supported by the educators and students. 

Expectations of the Parents
The school authority Ecole e.V. encourages the parents to provide a harmonious and productive learning environment for their children.  In this environment the child should be supported to attain a well-rounded education, whether through school-related or extracurricular activities.
