Intensive Language Acquisition

‚Two first foreign Languages’

The early and intensive uptake of more foreign language is a significant feature of the Pierre Trudeau International School. From grade 5 on German students learn at least two languages with very strong emphasis. This approach is based on the scientific finding, that the ‘window of language acquisition’ is wide open between grade 5 and grade 9.

Western Languages

The major foreign languages taught at Pierre Trudeau Internationale School are French, English and Spanish. These languages enable students to get in contact and maintain communication with peoples from a large number of nations in Europe, Northern and Southern America, Australia and Africa.

Chinese Language

As one of very few German Schools, the Pierre Trudeau International School teaches Chinese language as regular part of the curriculum. From grade 6 on students get in contact with one of most spoken languages in the world.

Language Certificates

All language education aims at internationally accpeted certificates. The following certificates can be obtained as part of the language education in the Pierre Trudeau International School.


DELF and DALF are a set of official French proficiency tests administered by the Centre international d'étude pédagogiques. It allows to opt out of a French university's language entrance exam.


TOEFL is the most widely accepted English-language test in the world. More than seven thousand institutions in 130 countries, including almost every university in the U.S., UK, Australia, New Zealand and Canada rely on TOEFL scores for admissions, scholarship and graduation decisions.


The Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK) is China's national standardized test designed and developed by the HSK Center of Beijing Language and Culture University to assess the Chinese language proficiency of non-native speakers.
